But this opens fine on Win 7 / Excel 2013 from the network. We copied just the one file to his local C: drive on Win 10 / Excel 2016 - that opens fine (30 seconds) But when Win 10 / Excel 2016 opens from the network, we get the slowness. I can sort of appreciate this as there are a few links. But why is it fine in older Windows / Excel?. The first time the user opens a sheet it opens fast, but after about 2 or 3 sheets, it can take up to 10 seconds before Excel opens the sheet. Now I already searched and tried several solutions, but until now I haven't found a working solution for it. These things I already have tried: - Uninstall Office 365 and reinstall it - Restore Office 365. You can also try to disable all add-ins: Click File > Excel Options > Add-Ins on the left side of the dialog. Then click the drop-down arrow at the bottom of the dialog box and select "COM Add-Ins" from the list, then click the GO button. What comes up.

4 On d-clicking an file in Windows 10 File Explorer, Excel itself loads quickly, but it then takes around 5-10 seconds for the workbook to open. Any file, even an empty one, even if I save as Both Excel and the files are on C:, a fast SSD. Other programs in the same MS Office package, such as Word 365, don't have this annoying flaw.. We can check if you have installed any add-ins for your Excel that might cause the problem. The add-ins can be found at the following 2 locations: 1.Excel > File > Options > Add-ins > In Manage field, select COM add-ins > Go > Unselect all the add-ins in the prompted window. 2.Excel > Insert Tab > My Add-ins > Uninstall all the add-ins listed.

. Using the new version of Excel on Win10 takes about 10 seconds longer to open files compared to the old version (or the new version on Win7). It seems more evident with files. Here is what I tried/ruled out: Office 16 32 vs. 64 bit behaved the same on Windows 10 Removed any links to files and cleaned up formatting, and name ranges. As mentioned previously I have tried deleting the Office/PW registry entries and entries within the windows profile to simulate a user having a new profile but without any luck. The only fix seems to be creating a new Windows profile and then files open with Integration at around 10 seconds without fail. Regards, Gary.
